American Literature: LA-3/LA-3S

Hello parents/guardians-

I have assigned a research paper that is on The Color Purple. This assignment is worth 200 points. I am concerned that your students may decide not to do the assignment so late in the year. This can tragically demolish their grades. Please make note that the assignment is posted online as well as a printed copy for your students.

Also note, students must have a bibliography so they understand the multitude of issues that will occur in college without proper citation. I implore you to encourage your students to hand in this paper on time. I will not accept late work!

Rough draft of the paper is due May 22nd

Final draft of the paper is due May 30th.

April’s calendar  has been updated. The last week is still up in the air, but the rest should hold true. Please check the updated calendar when you can.

This does not have the music attached (as your project will), but it did when it was shown. This is the bar of expectation, as I showed you in class.

Okay guys, I have figured out (finally) how to show you calenders without having all the html formatting explode on the site. Go to the “Calender” page and then click on your desired month.

Next week we start working on the poetry final project and I will announce when your poetry final exam is. ALL POETRY PACKETS ARE DUE THE DAY OF YOUR POETRY FINAL!

In addition, you are to bring a poem or song to class this Friday 3/27 as posted on my white-board in class.

Grades are due next tuesday. For extra credit, make sure you get the sheets signed by your parents for your CST scores.
